Los Hacendados
Matanzas is home to one family of hacendados, los Barrientos, and was clearly influenced by an elegant nearby hacienda to the North, in the town that to some is known
as La Colonia. My family, the Martinez, have roots in this hacienda. We know of stories that our family worked as gardeners and as linen keepers for the family that lived at the time. My sources point to French origins for these hacendados, but I will verify that at some point.

Introduction
Facts:
Matanzas is situated in the municipality of Ojuelos, Jalisco, Mexico at an elevation of 2205 meters. The town sits about a kilometer from the route 80 in the Northeast of the state.
The town has three schools (needs verification) Cinco de Mayo, Igancio Herrera y Cairo, and Rosaura Zapata.
According to my family, Matanzas used to be called La Hacienda de la Daga. The town was built around the hacienda, which is now the Barrientos' home across from the school Ignacio Herrera y Cairo (How did the school get its name, and when was it established?).
Matanzas was named as La Hacienda de La Daga, It was a small part belonged to La Hacienda de Juachi ( La Colonia ), Both were fractions from La Hacienda de Cienega De Mata, Jalisco and the Main House for these Haciendas Was La casa Grande or La Casa de La Hacienda,The Hacendado House It's currently The Palacio De Gobierno Del Estado de Aguascalientes , There is a book named The mayorazgo de los Rincon Gallardo, You can find lot of Information About This. The Mayorazgo De los Rincon Gallardo Was bigger than the Aguascalientes state Current size. [1]
